Das sind natürlich hauptsächlich Konzerte meiner Lieblingsbands Kaizers Orchestra, Die Ärzte und Skambankt. Aber nicht ausschließlich!  About a month ago, Xutos posted on Facebook that the first tour dates for 2011 are out. I checked them – maybe I could plan my summer vacation around a concert again? First date: Zürich. Zürich?!? Waaah!
OK, actually it was Bülach, but if you’re 2000 km away, that’s probably the same. =;-) I dug out my Portuguese, managed to arrange a ticket, and started looking forward. At the same time wondering what that would be… I mean, Xutos in Switzerland?! Who will go see them there? Sure, the Portuguese that live in the area, ’cause I doubt that any Swiss or German people have heard about Xutos (except for a handful that has lived in Portugal, maybe). So a concert in front of 200 people would be quite cool, right? But then – why do they use a venue that can take 2000 people?!
So I really didn’t have a clue what to expect. When I arrived, I was surprised to see so many cars and people around. And as soon as I went inside, I was completely flashed… Portuguese everywhere! Everyone who worked there was Portuguese (and spoke Portuguese of course), and the hall was filled (and I mean filled – ok, maybe not crammed, but definitely not empty!) with Portuguese people. I didn’t hear a single person speak German – ok, except for the guy at the box office who helped me translate, because hell… I need a few days to get used to Portuguese again. *g* However, I understood most of what was happening around me, and I just LOVED the atmosphere. Little Portugal, somewhere in Switzerland… I had no clue that so many Portuguese are living abroad… =:-)
Anyway, this was really a “happening”. Lots of Portuguese advertising stands, soccer transmission in the foyer, Portuguese food, … DJs were warming up the crowd, and by a quarter to midnight, Xutos finally came on!
I can’t come up with the setlist now, but it was a nice mixture of new and old songs. And this time, I actually knew the new songs as well – guess my visit to Worten payed off. *g* Hardly knew any lyrics though… *sigh* I definitely got some work to do there before the concert in Luxembourg…!
The atmosphere was great! In the beginning, however, it was a bit quiet, especially during the new songs (which isn’t unusual, of course). But as soon as they were playing one of their “hits”, the crowd would go crazy. “Não sou o único” – waah, that was amazing! Everyone was going nuts, and hey, that is the first Portuguese song I ever listened to. And I still remember the lyrics, yay! And this time they even played “Vida malvada”, which I had dearly missed last year in Évora… =:-D
I didn’t get much of the talk between the songs, but they didn’t really talk that much anyway. Instead, we got a lot of songs and almost two hours of concert! And the later the concert, the more enthusiastic the audience. Just terrific – I loved every second of it. And I think Xutos enjoyed it quite a bit as well, even though I had the feeling that they had to “work” quite a bit in the beginning to get the crowd excited. But they definitely managed that… =:-)
So now there’s no doubt that I’ll get on my way to Luxembourg as well – but I guess I’ll really need to study the lyrics (it’s so stupid to be at a concert if you can’t sing along… *grr*), and I guess I should also practice my Portuguese a bit until then… or how else am I gonna survive if I have the choice between Portuguese and _French_?!?

 Ein strahlend sonniger Tag in Stavanger (na sowas, da musste ich doch tatsächlich auf den angekündigten Schneeregen verzichten!), eine Autogrammstunde mit ellenlanger Schlange (man musste doch anstehen, um überhaupt bei Platekompaniet reinzukommen, oder? *g*), danach Jarle Klepp im Kino (Kokowäh auf Norwegisch und in – ganz sicher! – viel besser!); und zum perfekten Tagesabschluss Folken-Konzert Nummer zwei! =:-)
Es war genauso voll wie gestern, das Publikum wirkte aber teilweise NOCH lauter. Der Überraschungseffekt fiel diesmal weg, dafür konnte man sich mehr auf die Details konzentrieren. Und natürlich die neuen Lieder abfeiern!
Die Setlist war fast identisch zum ersten Tag, mit zwei Ausnahmen: KGB fehlte im Hauptteil und wurde stattdessen als erster Zugabensong (anstelle von Enden av november, was rausfiel) gespielt. Und als letzte Zugabe gab es diesmal statt 170 Sju bøtter tårer er nok, Beatrice! Angekündigt als “eine Live-Premiere”! Äh ja, auf dieser Tour schon. =;-)
Die Show an sich habe ich ja gestern beschrieben, also gibt’s heute ein bisschen was zum Drumherum (und natürlich die ganzen Ansagen, die ich gestern vergessen habe zu beschreiben *g*). Und womit muss man beim “Drumherum” anfangen? Genau: Natürlich mit der Frisur vom Jackal. *lol* Mittellang, grau, zu Beginn ganz furchtbar hochgegelt. So, dann hätten wir das auch abgehakt. =;-)
Zum ersten Teil gibt es nicht viel zu berichten: Ein Lied nach dem anderen, ohne viel Bla bla dazwischen, perfekt zum Anheizen. Natürlich gab’s das typische “Ihr singt aber toll, aber es ist ja auch Samstag, da muss das so sein!” Aber ja, wie schon erwähnt: Das Publikum war echt super laut und musste daher auch bei Resistansen die halbe Strophe alleine singen (wie später natürlich auch bei Hjerteknuser und sicher noch anderen Liedern).
Wie gestern auch schon kündigten Kaizers an, ihr Konzert-Nachspiel in/im/? Egersund abzuhalten. Das scheint wohl _die_ neue In-Location in Stavanger zu sein. Wobei die Reaktion darauf schließen ließ, dass es nicht bei allen so wirklich “in” sein dürfte. *g*
Zu Beginn des zweiten Teils, während der ersten Takte von Philemon Arthur, rastete das Publikum wieder komplett aus. Absoluter Wahnsinn, echt! Und ich meine doch, dass der Jackal da recht feuchte Augen bekommen hat – was ja auch voll zu Hellraizers Aussage von gestern passt, dass er da doch einen ordentlichen Kloss im Hals gehabt hätte. Völlig verständlich, denn die Reaktion des Publikums MUSS einfach total überwältigend gewesen sein!
Das Zählen bei Din kjole lukter bensin, mor ist übrigens nicht ganz so einfach und unkompliziert, wie man meinen könnte. Man sollte dem Jackal schon genau zugucken, um nicht an völlig falschen Stellen eine “vier” reinzurufen. Hups… =;-) Was ich gestern komplett vergessen hatte zu erwähnen: Der Publikumsgesang am Ende des Liedes ist einfach wunderbar! Der Jackal muss nicht mal den Einsatz geben – das Publikum fängt von ganz alleine mit dem “Det lukter bensin…” an, und ist eigentlich nur noch durch den Anfang von En for orgelet zu stoppen. Haaaach, toll! =:-D
Und natürlich habe ich diesmal auf das Pfeifen geachtet. Die Lösung: Killmaster steht an irgendeinem… äh… Ding (sieht aus wie ein altes Röhrenradio) und reguliert (also, nehm ich jetzt mal an?) die Begleitung, sprich Pfeifen, Ölflöten und vermutlich auch Teile vom Rhythmus. Während Hellraizer rappt und der Jackal die große Trommel schlägt. Er empfiehlt übrigens jedem, sich so eine Trommel anzuschaffen, das wäre einfach toll! *gg*
Svarte katter wurde damit angekündigt, dass sie im Studio sehr lange daran rumgedoktort hätten. Und das kann normalerweise bedeuten, dass das Resultat entweder toll oder so naja wäre – in ihrem Fall natürlich grundsätzlich toll!
Der erste Radio-Hit von Kaizers – der sie doch jetzt tatsächlich von einem No-Hit-Wonder zu einem One-Hit-Wonder gemacht hat! – musste natürlich besonders gefeiert werden. Wie auch gestern entschied sich der Jackal, Hjerteknuser “einzuspringen”. Von der Tonne, versteht sich!
Und dann war’s dann auch schon wieder Zeit für den “normalen” Teil des Konzerts, in dem dann auch etwas mehr gequatscht wurde. Teilweise vermutlich deshalb, weil der Jackal seinen Mikroständer kaputtmachte und mehrfach reparieren lassen musste. Ich liebe ja immer seine Blicke, wenn etwas nicht so klappt wie geplant und er eben z.B. mit einem Mikro plus halber Ständer in der Hand dasteht… =;-)
Jedenfalls erfuhren wir dann die Geschichte, wo sie denn Helge aufgegabelt hätten: Sie waren auf der Suche nach einem Pumporgelspieler, und jemand erzählte ihnen, dass in Flesland einer sitzen würde, an einer alten Pumporgel, mit einem Anzug und einer Gasmaske. Also haben sie ihn gefragt, und er hat ja gesagt! *lol* Die einzig mögliche Antwort auf diese Ansage: Helge-Sprechchöre!
Auch danach wurde die Band weiter gerühmt: Bei Killmasters Solo in Kontroll på kontinentet stand der Jackal hinter ihm und feuerte das Publikum auf, mehr und mehr Krach zu machen. Dafür wurde der arme Killmaster bei der Vorstellung mal wieder mit einem “mach doch deine eigene Band auf” abgekanzelt. Na ja, vielleicht denkt er mal drüber nach… *lol* Die Vorstellung gibt es übrigens deshalb, weil die Fans sie fordern: Wie schon gestern fragte der Jackal, ob er denn die Band vorstellen soll; auf der letzten Tour hätten sie es nicht mehr gemacht, weil die Fans es nicht mehr wollten, aber jetzt? Volle Zustimmung im Publikum, also gab’s die Vorstellung. Die ja – wie wir nachher erfuhren – auch deshalb wichtig ist, damit nicht nur der Jackal “scheint”, sondern auch der Rest der Band ein bisschen Ruhm abkriegt. Da hätten sie vor kurzem erst eine Besprechung wegen gehabt… *gg*
Kurz vor Ende dann noch die Danksagungen: Vielen Dank ans Orchester, an die Crew, den Club, die Fans, … “Haben wir wen vergessen? Es waren doch zehn Sachen!” Aber nein, sie meinen es total ernst und überhaupt gar nicht ironisch! *g* Hellraizer warnte uns dann noch, dass es draußen glatt sein könnte, wir sollen bitte vorsichtig heimlaufen. *g*
Vor Dieter Meyer erklärte der Jackal, dass sie dieses Lied ja fast immer spielen würden, weil es so toll ist. Häh? (Also, häh wegen “immer spielen”, definitiv nicht wegen “toll”!) Manchmal hätten sie es aber einfach satt… aber natürlich noch nicht am 2. Tourtag!
Als letzte Zugabe dann, wie schon geschrieben, Sju bøtter tårer – für mich ein viel besseres Abschlusslied als 170, weil es sowohl ruhig und stimmungsvoll als auch schnell und tanzbar ist.
Und vorbei… Tja, ich stelle mich dann mal auf ein fünf Wochen anhaltendes Tourloch ein – bis dann endlich endlich endlich die Europatour losgeht. Und solange erinnere ich mich einfach an das wundervolle Wochenende zurück, das war nämlich insgesamt ziemlich perfekt. Kaizers sind und bleiben halt doch die beste Band der Welt… (ja, ich darf das schreiben, pfff!)
A great and sunny day in Stavanger (hey, why that, where was the rain that the weather report had promised? *lol*), a signing session with a terribly long queue (but you HAD to get in line to enter Platekompaniet at all, right? *g*), then Jarle Klepp in the cinema (terrific!); and as a great conclusion to the day the second Kaizers concert at Folken! =:-)
The place was just as crowded as yesterday, and the audience seemed to be even louder this time! Of course, there wasn’t so much of surprise moment and “what will happen next???” today, so I could concentrate on the details a little more. And of course enjoy the new songs!
The setlist was almost identical to yesterday’s list, with two exceptions: KGB wasn’t played in the main set, but instead as first song of the encores (instead of Enden av november, which wasn’t played at all). And as last encore, they played Sju bøtter tårer er nok, Beatrice this time, instead of 170! And they announced it as a song they’d never played live before… Well, not on this tour, that’s right. =;-)
I already described the show yesterday, so today I’ll report a bit about the setting (and I’ll try to mention all the talk that I forgot to write about yesterday *g*). And how to start with that? Well, of course: with the Jackal’s hair style! *lol* Not short, not long, gray, in the beginning held up with a lot of hair spray in a terribly looking way. Okay, so then we covered that part now. =;-)
There’s not a lot to report about the first part: One song after the other, not much talk in between, just perfect to get the audience warmed up! Of course there was the typical “You are singing great! But well, it’s a Saturday, so of course you are a great audience!” And yes, as mentioned before, the audience was great and loud, and so we had to sing the whole verse in Resistansen (and lateron in Hjerteknuser as well, and I think also in other songs).
Just like yesterday, Kaizers announced they would hold their concert “nachspiel” at Egersund, which is probably THE new hip location in Stavanger. Even though the audience reaction suggested that it’s probably not that “hip” for everybody… *g*
At the beginning of the second part, during the start of Philemon Arthur, the audience went absolutely crazy again. Pure madness, really! And I _think_ the Jackal wiping his eyes just then wasn’t really a coincidence… which fits nicely in with Hellraizer’s statement yesterday that he had a bit of a lump in his throat at that point of the first concert… More than understandably, this audience reaction MUST be absolutely overwhelming!
By the way, the counting in Din kjole lukter bensin, mor actually isn’t THAT easy as you would imagine. At least if you don’t watch the Jackal closely… if you don’t, you might shout “four” at the totally wrong place. Ooops. =;-) Something I forgot to mention yesterday was how amazing the singing of the audience at the end of the song is! The Jackal didn’t even need to start it, the audience just started singing “Det lukter bensin…” on their own. =:-) And the only way to stop it was by starting the next song, namely En for orgelet. Wow, soooo nice! =:-D
And of course I paid attention to the whistling this time. The solution: Killmaster is standing at a… uh… thing (looks like an old tube radio) and regulates (I assume?) the backing accompaniment, which means the whistling, the beer flutes, and probably some of the rhythm as well. While Hellraizer is rapping and the Jackal is running around with the bass drum. By the way, he advises everyone to get their own bass drum, that’s just a whole lot of fun! *gg*
Before Svarte katter they explained that they had used a lot of time in the studio for this song. Which normally means that the result is either really great or rather mediocre… in their case, it means great, of course!
Kaizers’ first radio hit – which turned them from a no-hit-wonder into a one-hit-wonder! – had to be celebrated of course. So the Jackal decided to “hop in” Hjerteknuser – of course from the barrel!
And then it was already time for the “normal” part of the concert, where they also started talking a bit more. Which was partly due to the fact that the Jackal broke his microphone stand and had to get it repaired a few times. I just love how he looks when things don’t go as planned and for example, he suddenly holds not only his microphone, but also part of the stand… =;-)
Anyway, so we got to know the story about how they found Helge! They were looking for someone who could play the pump organ, and they were told that there is a guy out in Flesland who plays an old pump organ, wearing a suit and a gas mask. So they asked him to join, and he agreed. *lol* The only possible response to that was – of course – some “Helge” shouting, right?
And the Jackal continued to praise the band. During Killmaster’s solo in Kontroll på kontinentet, the Jackal stood behind him and animated the audience to shout and clap even louder and louder. But then, Killmaster was cut off again after his introduction with the advice to “start you own band then”. Well, maybe he’ll think about that! *lol* By the way, they are doing the introduction again because the fans want it: Just like yesterday, the Jackal asked whether he should introduce the band to us; they didn’t do it on the last tour, because the fans didn’t want it, but now? The audience clearly wanted it! So we got it. And afterwards we got to know how important the introduction is. Otherwise the only one who “shines” is the Jackal, and the rest of the band should get a bit of the fun as well, right? They just had a meeting about that a few days ago… *gg*
Just before the end, a round of thanksgiving: Thanks to the orchestra, to the crew, the club, the fans, … “Did we forget anyone? I remember there were ten things we wanted to mention…” But no, they really mean it, that wasn’t irony at all! *g* And Hellraizer made sure we’d all get home safely by mentioning that it might be slippery outside. *g*
Before they played Dieter Meyer, the Jackal explained that they would almost always play this song, because it is so great. Huh? (Ehm, “huh” because of the “always play”, not because of the “great”, of course!) But sometimes they are just sick of it… but of course not on the second day of the tour!
As mentioned before, the last encore was Sju bøtter tårer – a much better conclusion song than 170 in my opinion, because it is both quiet/atmospheric and fast and danceable.
And that was it… Well, so I guess I’ll look forward to five weeks of tour depression now – until the European tour finally starts! And until then, I’ll feed from a wonderful weekend which was pretty much perfect. Kaizers are and will always be the best band of the world… (yes, I’m allowed to write that, pff!)

Ich glaube dieser Band nichts mehr. Also, ich gehe ja sowieso schon immer sehr skeptisch an ihre Aussagen ran (schließlich hieß es ja auch vor ein paar Monaten noch “klar, das Album wird deutsche und englische Übersetzungen enthalten” *g*), aber ich habe ihnen geglaubt, dass die neue Show GANZ ANDERS wird. Haben sie ja auch oft genug betont!
Und ja – die Show IST auch anders. Und toll! Sagte ich “toll”? Ich meine natürlich absolut fabelfantastischwundervollmitSahneobendrauf! =:-D Ich liebe diese Band, und wenn sie noch so viel Quatsch erzählen. *gg*
Die Show ist also anders, aber eben nicht total und noch nie dagewesen anders und besonders, so wie vorab ja irgendwie angedeutet. Hier dann vorsichtshalber eine Spoilerwarnung. Wer nicht wissen will, wie die Show sich von den letzten unterscheidet, sollte nicht weiterlesen. Aber grundsätzlich finde ich nicht, dass man sich durchs Weiterlesen irgendwas kaputtmacht – den Spaß machen die Konzerte auf jeden Fall!
Die Bühne sieht genauso aus wie immer, außer der Fußorgel von Thunder (die er aber mit den Händen spielt, soweit ich das sehen konnte?). Und das Mikrokabel ist nicht mehr rot, das ist es aber glaub ich schon länger nicht mehr. *g* Als Hintergrund gab’s ein Violeta-Kinderwagen-Logo. Zumindest zu Beginn – und damit kommen wir jetzt endlich zu den Unterschieden!
Das Konzert bestand nämlich aus drei “Akten”. Der 1. Akt stand im Zeichen der Zigeunermusik. Danach verschwand das Violeta-Logo im Hintergrund und wurde durch eine Filmleinwand ersetzt. Im 2. Akt wurde dann das neue Album präsentiert – und zwar fast komplett! Und für den 3. Akt tauchte das alte runde Gasmasken-Kaizerslogo auf, und es ging mit einer wilden Mischung aus Rocksongs weiter.
Aber noch mal zurück zum Anfang. Das Intro war ein Klaviergeklimper, was vermutlich auch so oder so ähnlich im Album zu hören ist. Hmm, das hat meiner Meinung nach nicht wirklich funktioniert; es war auch simpel und einfach zu leise, so dass man nicht mitklatschen konnte (oder es auch nur wirklich wahrnehmen – ich würde nicht drauf schwören, dass es Klavier war…). Dann kam die Band auf die Bühne und spielte ein Intro im Zigeunerstil, nennen wir es einfach “Ho-ho-ho”, das war nämlich das einzige, was gesungen wurde. *g* Der Jackal kam hinzu, und dann ging es mit Katastrofen gleich mittenrein in die Zigeunermusik. Ich wusste nicht wirklich, wie ich es deuten sollte, dass der Jackal gleich beim ersten Lied völlig fertig und außer Atem zu sein schien – wie soll der denn das Konzert durchhalten? Aber ich vermute, dass lag einfach am Lied (denn Katastrofen ist ja wirklich anstrengend…), gepaart vermutlich mit einiger Aufregung und Anspannung, und beim zweiten Lied war dann alles wie immer.
Und weiter ging es mit Gypsy: Delikatessen, Djevelens Orkester, Senor Torpedo, Sigøynerblod und Resistansen! Äh – waaah?! Haben sie nicht mal gesagt, Djevelens Orkester spielen sie nie wieder, und mittlerweile ist es scheinbar fest im Programm? Und der Herr Torpedo? *japs* Hach ja. Ich weiß jetzt schon – den Teil kann ich mir immer und immer wieder anhören und werde ihn trotzdem immer wieder lieben. Denn ja, ich mag Resistansen immer noch. Auch nach über hundert Mal… =:-)
Dann kam Akt 2 – und damit das NEUE Konzert. Die Videoleinwand im Hintergrund war eindrucksvoll und wurde sehr schön eingesetzt, mit verschiedenen Animationen zur Violeta-Geschichte. Das sorgte zusammen mit der Singweise dafür, dass man echt eine “Show” erlebte. Es hatte ein bisschen was von Musical, und nu ja, irgendwie war es einfach NOCH intensiver als sonst. Wahrscheinlich lag das auch stark daran, wie der Jackal sich beim Singen ins Zeug legte; teilweise stand da nicht “der Jackal”, sondern Beatrice, Violeta oder Kenneth. Einfach… geil! Sorry, mir fehlen die Worte.
Los ging Teil 2 – natürlich – mit Philemon Arthur & The Dung. Und das Publikum drehte _komplett_ ab. Die Stimmung war zwar auch vorher schon klasse, aber da ging’s noch mal ein paar Stufen hoch, und JEDES Wort wurde mitgesungen. Es folgte Femtakt filosofi, was man live ja schon kennt, und danach Din kjole lukter bensin, mor. Das funktionierte auch toll, mit zweistimmigem Gesang vom Jackal und Hellraizer zu Beginn. Das Zählen am Ende übernahm das Publikum, natürlich dirigiert vom Jackal – klappte perfekt!
Und dann mein sofortiger Favorit: En for orgelet, en for meg. Ganz ehrlich: Ich hab keine Ahnung, ob/wie sie das mit dem Pfeifen gemacht haben, hab ich nicht drauf geachtet – irgendwie war ich mit feiern beschäftigt. *g* Aber den Violeta-Rap-Part in der Mitte übernahm ganz einfach… Hellraizer. *rofl* Aber total klasse! Hätte ich nicht vor Lachen am Boden gelegen, hätte ich ihn vermutlich bewundernd angehimmelt oder so. *lol* Und als ob das nicht schon genug für das Lied gewesen wäre, gab’s am Ende noch mal eine Steigerung, als sich der Jackal eine große Marschtrommel (also, genauer gesagt war’s glaub ich eine Konzerttrommel, aber… interessiert das irgendwen? Nö? Dachte ich mir *g*) umhängte und damit (!) auf das Ölfass stieg und wild rumtrommelte. Wahnsinn? Wahnsinn!
Danach folgte dann die nächste Radiosingle (und mein geheimer Albumfavorit, ja, nennt mich Mainstream-Girl *g*): Diamant til kull. Hach ja, schööööön! Getoppt werden konnte das dann natürlich nur noch durch Psycho under min hatt, ne? =:-D
Tja, und dann hatten sie ja eigentlich alles durch, was live spielbar sein dürfte… denkste. Dann kam doch allen Ernstes Svarte katter og flosshatter! Das funktioniert auch ohne Bond-Bläser, und nach dem Intro schnappte sich Omen ein Megaphon und schrie den Anfangsteil hinein. Und natürlich später noch einmal… und danach stellte er das Megaphon weg, tauchte einen Kamm in sein (Bier?-)Glass, kämmte sich theatralisch die Haare und versenkte den Kamm wieder im Glass. Äh, ja. Psycho under min Gasmaske? *gg*
Zuguterletzt gab’s dann natürlich noch Hjerteknuser, mit unglaublich lautem Gesang des Publikums. Hach, Konzerte in Norwegen sind schon toll! =:-D
Und damit war es dann Zeit für Akt 3! Jetzt sollte also das “normale” Kaizers-Konzert anfangen. Los ging’s mit Ompa til du dør, gefolgt von Bøn fra helvete und KGB. Also “alles wie immer” – und trotzdem: Ein Jahr lang nicht gesehen, ein Jahr lang vermisst, ohne es wirklich zu wissen, und sooooo schön, es jetzt endlich wieder zu kriegen!
Weiter ging es – nicht wirklich überraschend – mit Kontroll på kontinentet. Und jetzt sind wir dann endgültig bei dem Punkt “ich glaube dieser Band nichts mehr”: Mittendrin kam doch tatsächlich die alte Bandvorstellung, wortwörtlich wie immer! Einzige Ausnahme war, dass noch Thunders neuer Hut präsentiert wurde. Aber sogar Hellraizers Handtuch (und natürlich die Fontäne) war wieder da. Bitte nicht falsch verstehen: Ich LIEBE diese Vorstellung, von mir aus können sie die noch jahrzehntelang unverändert beibehalten, und Kontroll ohne Vorstellung ist einfach komisch. Aber wenn sie monatelang ankündigen, wie ANDERS doch die neue Tour wird und dass ALLES neu ist, dann können sie doch nicht die uralte Vorstellung wieder ausgraben? Die sie ja nie wirklich begraben hatten… Nee, sorry, das verstehe ich nicht. Aber okay, ich glaube ihnen einfach nichts mehr und freu mich dafür an der alten Vorstellung. =:-)
Anekdote am Rande: Killmaster wollte – wie auch schon mehrfach gesehen – nach seiner Vorstellung nicht aus dem Rampenlicht verschwinden und noch ein bisschen weiterspielen. Kommentar Jackal: “Wenn du mehr Gitarre spielen willst, musst du wohl eine eigene Band gründen.” *rofl*
Langsam aber sicher ging das Konzert dem Ende zu – und das letzte Lied war Maestro. Aber klar, natürlich gab es noch Zugaben, nämlich Enden av November und Dieter Meyers Inst (yay!). Vor letzterem erklärten sie, dass sie ja nur tolle Lieder hätten und überhaupt gar keine schlechten… na ja, Til depotet wäre vielleicht nicht soooo toll. Also, zwischen Til depotet und den anderen Kaizers-Liedern würde vielleicht noch gerade so ein Postgirobygget-Song liegen, wenn man die Lieder alle nach Qualität sortiert… Selbstbewusst? Hell yeah!
Das war’s – großes Adieu und Verbeugen, aber das Publikum ließ sie noch nicht endgültig verschwinden, also gab’s als letzte Zugabe noch 170. Ich mag das Lied nicht wirklich, aber ich muss zugeben: Es funktioniert einfach als Abschlusslied.
Und das war’s dann auch wirklich. Das euphorisierte Publikum strömte nach draußen, wer nicht schnell genug weg war, bekam noch ein Lokal-Fernseh-Mikro unter die Nase gehalten, und unten wurde der Merchstand gestürmt.
Morgen geht’s weiter. Und das Kaizersfieber ist wieder voll da… =:-)
I will never believe anything this band says again. Well, actually, I’ve always been quite skeptical about their statements (I mean, didn’t they say a few months ago that “sure, the new album will contain official translations into German and English”? *g*). But I did believe them when they said the show would be ALL new, TOTALLY different from before. They said it all the time, so there must be something about it!
And yes – the show IS different. And great! Did I say “great”? Of course I mean absolutely awesometerrificfabulousfantasticwithcreamontop! =:-D I love this band, no matter how much hot air they blow. *gg*
So the show is different, but not that totally and “never before seen” kind of different as they claimed before. So, here’s a spoiler warning for you – if you don’t want to know the differences between the “old” and the current show, don’t read on. But actually, I don’t think you’d loose anything by reading on – ’cause the concerts are a whole lot of fun in any case!
The stage looks just as it used to, except for Thunder’s foot organ (which he played by hand though, at least as far as I could see?). And the microphone cord isn’t red anymore, but I think it hasn’t been for a while anyway. *g* As backdrop, they used the Violeta-carriage-logo. At least in the beginning – and now we finally get to the differences!
The concert was made up of three “acts”. The 1st act was dedicated to gypsy music. Then, the Violeta logo in the back disappeared and revealed a white movie screen. The 2nd act presented the new album – almost completely even! And then for the 3rd act, the old, round gas mask Kaizers logo appeared again, and they continued with a wild mixture of rock songs.
But back to the start again. The intro was some piano plink-plonk, which is probably part of the album as well in some form. Hmm, I didn’t think that really worked; plus, it just wasn’t loud enough (or the audience was too loud *g*), so that you couldn’t clap along (or really hear it – I wouldn’t swear that it was a piano…). Then the band went on and played a gypsy-style intro, let’s just call it “Ho ho ho”, ’cause that was the only thing they were singing. *g* The Jackal joined them, and then they started right into the gypsy music with Katastrofen. I wasn’t really sure how to interpret the fact that the Jackal seemed groggy and out of breath during the first song already – hey, how’s he gonna do the rest of the concert?! But I guess that was just because of the song (Katastrofen IS really strenuous…), probably paired with excitement and tension, and starting with the second song, everything was like it’s supposed to be.
And we got our share of gypsy: Delikatessen, Djevelens Orkester, Senor Torpedo, Sigøynerblod, and Restistansen! Uh – waaaah?! Didn’t they say a while ago that they would NEVER ever play Djevelens Orkester again, and now it seems it’s got a fast place in the set again? And Mr. Torpedo? *gasp* Yay! I know for sure already that I will be able to listen to this part over and over and over again, I will still love it. ‘Cause yes, I still like Resistansen. Even after hearing it more than a hundred times… =:-)
Then it was time for act II – and the NEW concert. The video screen (canvas, not digital) was used in a really nice and impressive way, showing different animations, all related to the Violeta story. Together with the way of singing this created a real “show”. It had a slight impression of a musical, and in a way, it was even more intense than usual! Which probably was also, in a large way, due to the fact that the Jackal gave all he had under the singing; often it didn’t seem like it was “the Jackal” on stage, but Beatrice, Violeta, or Kenneth. Just… awesome! Sorry, I lack the words to say it any differently…
Part two started with Philemon Arthur & The Dung – of course. And the audience went _completely_ crazy! The atmosphere was great before that, but then it went up a few more notches, and they sang along EVERY word. Next up was Femtakt filosofi, which has been played live before, and then Din kjole lukter bensin, mor. This one worked out just great as well, with Jackal and Hellraizer singing together in the beginning. And the audience took over the counting in the end, of course directed by the Jackal. Worked like a charm!
And then the song that turned into my favorite at once: En for orgelet, en for meg. Honestly: I have no clue if/how they did the whistling in the beginning. I just didn’t pay attention to it – I was busy celebrating. *g* But they solved the “problem” with the Violeta rap part in the middle the best possible way, by having… Hellraizer do it. *rofl* And he did it perfectly! I guess I would have stood there admiring that part – if I hadn’t been rolling on the floor laughing, that is, uhem. *lol* And if that wasn’t enough for that song, they took it up another notch at the end, when the Jackal took a big marching bass drum (which actually was a concert bass drum if I saw it correctly, but… does anybody care? No? I figured… *g*) and climbed the oil barrel with it. Yes. You read correctly. And of course the drumming started once he was up there. Madness? Madness!
Then the next song would be the new radio single (and my secret favorite on the album – call me mainstream-girl… *g*): Diamant til kull. Waah, so nice! That of course could only be topped with Psycho under min hatt, right? =:-D
Well, and then they had obviously played all songs of the new album that could be played live… or so you’d think. ‘Cause then they actually played Svarte katter og flosshatter! It works without the Bond-brass in the beginning, and after the intro, Omen picked up a megaphone and screamed the first lines. And of course he did the same again later on… before he put down the megaphone, found a comb, dipped it into his (beer?-)glass, combed his hair in theatrical fashion and plunged the comb back into the glass. Uh, yeah. Psycho under min gas mask? *gg*
Finally, they played Hjerteknuser, of course, and the audience was singing along at the top of their lungs. Hach, concerts in Norway are just amazing! =:-D
And then it was time for act 3! So now, the “normal” Kaizers concert was about to start. First up was Ompa til du dør, followed by Bøn fra helvete and KGB. So everything “like it used to be” – and still: I hadn’t seen it for a year, and even though I didn’t really know I missed it, I obviously did. It was soooo great to get to see this again now, finally!
Not surprisingly, the next song was Kontroll på kontinentet. And now we reach the point were I decided that “I will never believe anything this band says”: They actually used the old band introduction, word by word the same as it used to be! The only exception was when the Jackal presented Thunder’s new hat. But even Hellraizer’s towel (and of course the fountain) was back. Don’t get me wrong: I LOVE this introduction, and if I were to decide, they could do this without changing anything for the next decades. And Kontroll without the introduction just feels weird anyway. But if they talk for months about how DIFFERENT the new show will be and that they will do EVERYTHING in a new way, then they just can’t dig up the ancient introduction again?! That they never even buried anyway… No, sorry, I just don’t get it. But then, I’ll just stop believing them and enjoy the old introduction. =:-)
On a side-note: After Killmaster was introduced, he didn’t want to leave the spotlight – as we’ve seen before. Comment by the Jackal: “Well, if you want to play more guitar, you should maybe found your own band.” *rofl*
Slowly but steadily the concert was coming to an end. The last song was Maestro, but yes, of course there were encores! Namely Enden av November and Dieter Meyers Inst (yay!). Before the last one, Kaizers started talking about how they have only great songs and no bad ones… well, okay, maybe Til depotet would qualify as not soooo great. Basically, if you sort all songs by quality, there might actually be a Postgirobygget song between Til depotet and all the rest of the Kaizers songs… Self-confident? Hell yeah!
And that was it – some bowing and good-bye, but of course the audience didn’t want to go home yet, so they had to play a final encore: 170. I gotta admit that I don’t really like the song, but then: It just works perfectly well as concluding song.
And that was really the end. An euphoric audience found their way downstairs, stormed the merch stand, and whoever did not get away in time found herself in front of a local TV camera…
Next concert: tomorrow! And the Kaizers fever is back in full strength… =:-)

2010 ist so gut wie vorbei – Zeit für meine jährliche Konzertzusammenfassung!
Zuerst mal die Zahlen, die – im Vergleich zu sonst – erstaunlich niedrig sind: Insgesamt 42 Konzerte (immerhin ‘ne schöne Zahl *g*), davon neun Festivals. Bei den Einzelkonzerten 5x Skambankt, je 3x Katzenjammer, Monsters of Liedermaching und Kaizers Orchestra (wenn man den Promo-Gig in Zürich mitzählt) – also ein sehr gemischtes Jahr diesmal, ohne große Einzeltouren!
Geographisch gesehen war vermutlich Zürich das südlichste – obwohl, nein, stimmt nicht; Portugal war natürlich südlicher, und gleichzeitig das westlichste Konzert des Jahres. Xutos & Pontapés in Èvora, yay! Im Osten ging’s diesmal nicht aus Deutschland raus, dafür im Norden noch mal über den Polarkreis für drei Skambankt-Konzerte.
Auch wenn es diesmal nicht sooo viele Konzerte waren, werde ich jetzt nicht alle noch einmal Revue passieren lassen; dafür gibt’s ja meine Berichte auf www.konzertjunkie.de. Aber die Highlights natürlich!
Da wäre wohl zuerst mal das Dúné-Konzert in Karlsruhe. Da bin ich mit wenig Erwartungen hingefahren, war in den ersten paar Minuten entsetzt und nachher sowas von begeistert, dass ich sie immer und immer wieder sehen wollte. Leider klappte es dieses Jahr nur noch zweimal: Beim Schlossgrabenfest in Darmstadt und beim Sonnenrot in München – beides wunderbare Auftritte, nach denen ich absolut euphorisch war. Und manno, ihre Januar-Tour werde ich komplett verpassen, hoffentlich kommen sie bald wieder!
Das nächste Highlight war dann natürlich die Kaizers-Tour, bzw. die beiden Konzerte in Stavanger und Oslo. Die Konzerte waren guter Durchschnitt (die Demoner-Tour hat die Messlatte da doch SEHR hoch gelegt), aber insgesamt war das mal wieder ein toller Konzerttrip!
Weiter ging es mit sehr beeindruckenden Konzerten von Pétur Ben und den Monsters of Liedermaching – Pétur Ben kannte ich von seinen Support-Auftritten für Kaizers, hatte aber kaum noch etwas in Erinnerung. Sehr seltsam fand ich es dann, dass das Konzert bestuhlt war… aber innerhalb von Minuten konnte ich mich an alle seine Lieder erinnern und war von seinem Auftritt absolut (ABSOLUT!) gefesselt. Wahnsinn! Ähnlich bei den Monsters… eigentlich wollte ich gar nicht hin, denn schließlich kenne ich sie ja mittlerweile, ne? Und immer wieder dasselbe… ist TOLL! Ihre Konzerte sind einfach ein Heidenspaß, jedesmal wieder!
Ein paar Tage später dann gleich wieder der Beweis, dass es eine gute Idee ist, sich Karten vorab zu kaufen. Denn sonst hätte ich das Konzert von Fettes Brot wohl einfach ausfallen lassen. Ich hatte nämlich so gar keinen Bock drauf – aber ich hatte ja eine Karte, also bin ich auch hin. Und wurde absolut geflashed! Genau wie bei ihren Festivalauftritten beim Mini Rock und beim Taubertal. Und jetzt ist erst mal Pause, menno… =:-(
Danach gab’s noch zwei Katzenjammer-Konzerte, inklusive dem letzten Konzert im alten Substage. Oh, the memories…
Und dann war’s auch schon Zeit für die Festivalsaison 2010! Die war diesmal für mich sehr gemischt. Ich hatte mir einige schöne Festivals rausgepickt, mich bei manchen als Presse akkreditiert, und natürlich ging es auch noch mal nach Norwegen! Dort standen das Kartfestival (mit u.a. Skambankt und Jethro Tull) und Rått og Råde, ein neues Festival in Stavanger, an. Beide waren toll! In Deutschland begeisterten mich das Helfenstein-Festival, das Sonnenrot, das Mini-Rock-Festival und in gewisser Weise auch das Taubertal, wobei letzteres hauptsächlich ein tolles Line-Up hatte. Das Wetter war halt nicht so pralle, das Festival ist einfach zu groß, und ich hatte nur ein Tagesbändchen – daher kriegt das Taubertal von mir dieses Mal nicht die volle Punktzahl. Insgesamt war ich dieses Jahr aber viel mehr “Festivaljunkie” als sonst – und ich hatte viel Spaß bei den verschiedenen Festivals. Allerdings war es ein wenig zu viel diesmal. Nach der Saison war ich erst mal froh, die Festivals hinter mir zu haben, und habe mir erst mal eine “Konzertpause” gegönnt.
Beendet wurde die dann durch die DÄOF-Super-3-Partys. Zuerst in Berlin mit Rock Shoe (und zwei uninteressanteren Bands *g*), dann in Stuttgart mit den Fachärzten und wieder den Monsters. Beide Partys waren super, wenn auch anstrengend. Aber gerne wieder! =:-)
Nach einem kleinen nicht-musikalischen Abstecher zur WWE (der in meiner Konzertliste drinsteht und daher hier erwähnt wird – wird aber nicht als Konzert gewertet *g*), einem vierstündigen Monsters-Konzert (WAHNSINN!) und meiner ersten Live-Begegnung mit Bullet for my Valentine (von der ich mir mehr versprochen hatte – aber ich glaube, ich war einfach nicht in Konzertstimmung) ging es dann ein letztes Mal für 2010 nach Norwegen für drei Skambankt-Konzerte. Und wie schon
2007 war es absolut gigantisch! Die Konzerte steigerten sich von Tag zu Tag, mit einem fantastischen Abschluss in Bodø. So geht man doch… na ja, gerne wäre übertrieben, aber immerhin mit einem guten Gefühl in die anstehende Live-Pause!
Das letzte Konzert des Jahres waren dann die Sportfreunde in München… na ja, war okay. =;-)
Müsste ich DAS Konzert des Jahres wählen, müsste ich mich vermutlich zwischen den Monsters in Karlsruhe und Skambankt in Bodø entscheiden – direkt gefolgt von Pétur Ben, Dúné bei diversen Festivals und dem gesamten Rått-og-Råde-Festival.
Und nächstes Jahr? Wenn ich da die bisher schon feststehenden Konzerte angucke, wird mir schwindelig… =;-) Mal sehen, wie viele davon ich am Ende wirklich sehe. Der aktuelle Plan besagt: Erst mal zwei Busters-Konzerte (Karlsruhe und Tübingen, wie immer), dann die Kaizers-Tour (zuerst in Norwegen, dann die komplette Europa-Tournee), und danach muss ich dann sehen, wie ich Katzenjammer, Itchy Poopzkid und die Monsters of Liedermaching (die ja alle gleichzeitig auf Tour gehen müssen *grr*) unter einen Hut kriege. Im Sommer sind dann Bullet for my Valentine auf Festivaltour, und wie es aussieht, sind beim Taubertal/Open Flair/Rocco del Schlacko so ungefähr alle tollen Bands vertreten. Eines davon wird also sicher besucht. *g* Und Ende des Jahres steht dann das Kaizers-Musical an.
Soviel also zum Thema “nächstes Jahr lasse ich es mal ruhiger angehen”. Ja, sicher… =;-)
2010 is almost over – this means it’s time for my annual concert summary!
Let’s start with the numbers – which are surprisingly low, compared to other years: a total of 42 concerts (at least it’s a nice number *g*), nine of these were festivals. Not counting the festival appearances, I saw five Skambankt concerts and three concerts each of Katzenjammer, Monsters of Liedermaching and Kaizers Orchestra (if you count the promo gig in Zurich) – so it was a rather mixed year this time, without real tours of one artist/band!
Geographically, Zurich was probably the concert furthest south – or no, not true, Portugal was further south of course, and at the same time the westernmost concert of the year. Xutos & Pontapés in Èvora, yay! In the east, I didn’t make it out of Germany this year, but in the north, I again crossed the Arctic Circle for three Skambankt concerts.
Even though there weren’t that many concerts this year, I won’t mention all of them here now; that’s what the reports on www.konzertjunkie.de are for. But of course I’ll point out the highlights!
Guess the first highlight was the Dúné concert in Karlsruhe. I went there with little expectations, was shocked during the first few songs, and afterwards, I was so enthusiastic that I wanted to see them over and over again. Unfortunately it worked out only two more times this year: at Schlossgrabenfest in Darmstadt and at Sonnenrot in Munich – both were wonderful gigs that left me absolutely euphoric. And gnaah… I’ll miss their tour now in January, so I hope they’ll return soon!
The next highlight was of course the Kaizers tour, or rather the two concerts in Stavanger and Oslo. The concerts were nice, but not special (the Demoner tour raised the bar quite a bit there), but overall this was another great concert trip!
Next up were very impressive concerts of Pétur Ben and the Monsters of Liedermaching – I knew Pétur Ben from his gigs as support for Kaizers, but I hardly remembered anything about his show. When I arrived, I saw that there were chairs set up for the audience – what the heck? But it was simply amazing! Within minutes, I remembered all his songs, and his performance captured me completely (COMPLETELY!) . Wow! Similarly with Monsters… Actually, I didn’t really want to go, because I’d seen them before, right? And seeing and hearing the same things over and over again … is GREAT! Their shows are so much fun, every time!
A few days later I found out once more that it is a good idea to buy tickets in advance. Otherwise I don’t think I would have gone to see the Fettes Brot concert. ‘Cause I really didn’t feel like it; but then, I had a ticket, so I had to go. And I was flabbergasted! Just like later on this year after their festival concerts at Mini Rock and Taubertal. They were SO amazing – but now they’ll take a break, too bad… =:-(
Next up were two Katzenjammer concerts, including the last concert at the old Substage. Oh, the memories …
And then it was time for the festival season 2010! This year, I saw lots of festivals. I chose those festivals that had a great line-up and got a press accreditation for some of them; and of course, I went to Norway again! In Norway, I saw Kartfestivalen (with, among others, Skambankt and Jethro Tull) and Rått og Råde, a new festival in Stavanger. Both were great! In Germany, I decided for Helfenstein Festival, Sonnenrot, Mini Rock festival, and Taubertal. The latter I enjoyed only because of the line-up. The weather wasn’t so great, the festival has become much too big, and my tickets was for one day only – so no, Taubertal definitely wasn’t perfect this time. Still, I was much more “festivaljunkie” than usual this year – and I actually enjoyed the various festivals. However, it was a bit too much this summer. After the festival season, I was quite glad that it was over, and I cut back on concerts for the next few weeks. =;-)
At least until the DÄOF Super Drei parties started! The first one took place in Berlin, featuring Rock Shoe (and two less interesting bands *g*), and the next one was in Stuttgart with a Die Ärzte cover band and the Monsters. Both parties were great, albeit exhausting. But I definitely wouldn’t mind repeating this! =:-)
After that, there was a little non-concert digression to WWE (it’s in my concert list, that’s why I mention it here, but I didn’t count it as concert *g*), a four-hour Monsters concert in Karlsruhe (AWESOME!) and my first live encounter with Bullet for my Valentine (which I had expected to be even better – but I guess I just wasn’t in concert mood), before my last Norway trip for 2010. Three Skambankt concerts in Northern Norway! And just like in 2007, it was absolutely gigantic! The concerts were getting better from day to day, with a fantastic climax in Bodø. And of course this is… well, perfect would be the wrong way to put it, but at least it’s the best possible way to face the upcoming live-break!
The last concert of the year was Sportfreunde Stiller in Munich then… well, it was okay. =;-)
If I had to elect THE concert of the year, I’d have to decide between Monsters in Karlsruhe and Skambankt in Bodø. Closely followed by Pétur Ben, Dúné at several festivals, and the whole Rått og Råde festival.
And next year? When I look at the list of concerts that are scheduled already, I get dizzy… =;-) Let’s see how many of those I’ll really see in the end. This is the current plan: First, there will be two Busters gigs (Karlsruhe and Tübingen, as always), then the Kaizers tour (first in Norway, then the entire European tour), and then I have to figure out how to fit in Katzenjammer, Itchy Poopzkid, and the Monsters of Liedermaching at the same time (because they are all on tour at the same time *grr*). In the summer, Bullet for my Valentine are on a festival tour, and the way it looks, Taubertal/Open Flair/Rocco del Schlacko will have lots of great bands. So I’m pretty sure that I’ll visit one of these festivals. *g* And then, at the end of the year, the Kaizers musical will premiere.
So much for “I won’t do that many concerts next year.” Yep, sure… =;-)

Oh. My. God! =:-D
…
OK, I guess I should expand the report a tiny little bit.. =;-) Actually, I don’t remember any details about the concert except that it was absolutely awesome – so the above sentence really says it all. *g*
From Harstad to Bodø, it was another long drive – including a one-hour ferry trip (which – totally coincidentally =;-) – included a little interview with a certain band that happened to be on the same ferry. So look forward to get to read a little fan interview here soon!).
Bodø was actually the only one of the three concerts where none of us had to drive afterwards, so the evening started with a little hotel room vorspiel. When we got to Sinus about ten minutes after Skambankt were supposed to have started, the venue was almost entirely empty. Nobody in the front row! That was so incredibly inviting that we just couldn’t resist… =;-) So in a way I guess it was good that we only got to see three concerts – we started on the gallery in Tromsø, in Harstad we were somewhere in the middle, and in Bodø right in front. Concert four would have been on stage, I guess. *g*
Anyway. I didn’t expect anything from the concert. Harstad had been amazing, and how should Skambankt top that again? And there was hardly anybody there… Well. totally wrong. By eleven, the place was packed, the audience was hot, Skambankt came on and the place just exploded.
As I wrote before, I don’t have any details to report here. The concert was absolutely fantastic, the audience enthusiastic and shouting and screaming all the time, the band seemed to love the show, and we had SO much fun!
The setlist was the same as in Harstad, except that Skambankt spontaneously added Alarm as last song before the encores, because they just didn’t want to leave, it seemed. =:-)
After the show, we were drenched in beer and sweat, but happy. Or short: Oh. My. God! =:-D
This tour was absolutely amazing – just like my first tour to Northern Norway! Thanks so much to Lena and John for great company – vi sees i februar (og i Tyskland etterpå)! Suzanne, great to see you again, and a big thank you to Katharina and Bernd for the great hospitality! =:-)
And of course: THANK YOU to Skambankt for three amazing concerts! It will be hard to wait three years until the next concerts…
But anyway: I’m really looking forward to the next Nord-Norge tour! =:-D

Wohooo – what was that?!? I mean, I really thought yesterday’s concert in Tromsø was great. Now, in Harstad, Skambankt managed to top that again – by a whole lot!
We got to Harstad after a loooong drive, met some great people from “back home” and had a nice evening before we got on our way to the venue. Ludo was way different from Driv – while Driv is clearly a concert place, Ludo seems to be more of a bar or café than a venue for concerts. The stage was on one side, with hardly any space in front of it, and very very close to the audience. But it looked like this could be a great stage for Skambankt! Close to the audience means close to the action… =;-)
We found ourselves perfect places in the middle, right in front of the stage – at a little counter where we could actually sit. Yes, sit! And at the same time, be in the middle of everything. And yes, you can actually sit and really really enjoy a concert (and dance and participate and so on, not just “consume” *g*). That was fantastic!
It soon got crowded around us. Skambankt came on, and the audience was absolutely enthusiastic right from the start! The setlist was similar to the one in Tromsø: Intro, Mantra, Skambankt, Slukk meg, Amnesti, Dynasti, Vår bør, Løgnprofitør, Malin, Født på ny, Kaos så inferno, Me sa nei, Tyster, Stormkast #1, encores Bak låste dører and Min eliksir.
“Skambankt” was the song for everybody at the concert who hadn’t realized what band they were seeing. Well, didn’t seem like that were too many… Terje was certain right away: “This is the best concert of our tour here in Northern Norway! And believe me: It will get even better!”
And yes, it did! Even though there was a short moment where the show could have been ruined… During “Malin”, some drunk guys in front of the stage started beating one another up – but fortunately, the people around managed to separate them. Hans then asked them to stop it because it really disturbs the concert, and Terje added that yes, please, those who really need to beat one another up should do it outside, okay? And fortunately, they got along well afterwards. =:-)
Towards the end of the show, some guys started singing Turbonegro’s “I got erection”. Terje explained that this was just because of Børge – and “don’t worry, we’ll make sure he meets you afterwards!”
Finally, after Tyster (this time without the final part where the audience sings), Terje announced that they would now bring the snow to Northern Norway, so that everybody would have white Christmas. ‘Cause the next song is… Snømannen Kalle! Aka Stormkast #1. *lol*
We got the same two encores as in Tromsø. I just love the part where Hans starts again with “Eg banker på din dør” in “Bak låste dører”! And “Min eliksir” is actually quite nice if you’re sitting and don’t try to dance to it. *g*
The audience was enthusiastic, and I really think Skambankt should have played another encore, but naah… that was it. The music came on – and the first song was Kaizers Orchestra’s “Enden av November”! Now… that felt strange. *lol*
But hell yeah, this was an awesome concert! Can they top that again tomorrow? I sure hope so! =:-D

 Three years ago, I went up to Northern Norway for three Skambankt concerts, got to meet some great people up there and had a fantastic time. In the meantime, we became good friends and met up at Skambankt and Kaizers concerts all over Norway. And now Skambankt returned to Northern Norway for a couple of concerts, and it was time for another trip up north!
I made it out of Germany just before the big winter chaos started (and went from -4 °C in Germany via -16 °C in Oslo to 2 °C north of the artic circle?!). First stop: Tromsø! After a quiet and relaxing (and dark…) day, it was time for the first concert of the “mini tour”.
Skambankt played at Driv, which is much bigger than Blå Rock where I saw them last time. It probably wasn’t sold out – but it looked full anyway! The atmosphere was great, with lots of excited people in front of the stage. We decided to stand up on the gallery – great view, lots of space to dance, and a lot of fun! =:-D
After the intro, Skambankt started with Mantra, followed by Skambankt and Slukk meg for eg brenner. And yep, they traveled a long way for this concert, all the way from Vestlandet – and right, I traveled even further. =;-) Next up was Amnesti (I still have to laugh at the ahahah choirs… uhem *g*) and Dynasti. The atmosphere under the following Vår Bør was amazing – everyone was singing along loudly, and we got to take over the singing completely for some lines.
The next song was Terje’s favorite from Hardt Regn, namely Løgnprofitør. After that one, he pointed out that this was the last time for probably two years Skambankt would be playing in Tromsø… ARGH! I mean, we all know they’ll (have to) take a break, but don’t say it this bluntly… =:-( Anyway. The next song was about a girl they met in Tromsø in 2006: Malin!
Then Terje announced they would go from a good pop song to some good old punkrock now, and play a song everybody had surely heard before: Me sa nei! Someone in the audience claimed to not have heard it – but well, then it would be the first time now! In the middle, we had to count down from 23 before they continued.
Next up was Kaos, så inferno, followed by O dessverre (great response, as always!) and Tyster, with the audience singing the chorus at the end. The last song before the encore was Stormkast #1 then.
I had kinda missed the “rare” songs under the concert – no Fritt fall? But well, there were still the encores! And they actually started with “Bak låste dører”! YAY! Not sure if I have even heard that one live before. If I have, it was loooong ago. But it was great to get to hear it live! =:-)
The last song was Min eliksir, which I still don’t really like… but yep, I gotta admit, it does work live and was a great conclusion.
So that was a great start for the tour! Way too short (come on, 60 minutes?!?), but great atmosphere, great energy, great audience. One down, two to go – can’t wait! =:-)
